Leafpon wants to help your Thanksgiving be the stoniest one yet! If you’re celebrating this year’s turkey day, we’d like to share our favorite “Danksgiving” side dishes. These recipes are perfect for those who need a quick, easy, and stoney dish for the party. The Leafpon staff experimented with a variety of cannabis-infused recipes and found our 3 favorites. These recipes are ready in 30 minutes, easy to make and very delicious. We’d like to say these dishes harmonize very well with the feast and will help you avoid showing up to the party empty handed.
For these recipes, you will be cooking with cannabutter. Below we have provided a link to a homemade cannabutter recipe from Marley, Cedella, and Raquel Pelzel. “Cannabutter: The Only Recipe You Need to Cook with Cannabis.” TASTE, 25 July 2017. If you don’t have time to make it from scratch, cannabutter is available at local dispensaries. Since we’re in Oregon, we decided to cook with Portland Oven’s Cannaghee™ and it did not disappoint. Cannaghee™ comes in a variety of strain specific cannabinoids and terpenes, allowing you to choose the effects you are seeking. Also, the ingredients are derived from organic, sungrown cannabis which is processed without any chemicals, solvents, or alcohol. For these reasons alone, we could not pass up the quality products Portland Oven has to offer.
Please be careful when consuming cannabutter. Potency and dosage is quite difficult to predict when using homemade cannabutter. If purchased from a licensed dispensary, the product should provide the milligram dosage. For example, Cannaghee™ is 50mg a container, which is a good amount to share with those who prefer microdosing. Microdosing is the consumption of cannabis in small doses, which is the recommended approach for edibles.
We hope you enjoy these recipes as much as we did, Happy Danksgiving!
